About The Local Savannah

A local's guide to Georgia's first city — built the slow, honest way.

The Local Savannah is a digital visitor guide to Savannah, Georgia — a sister site to The Local Clearwater. We cover the places that make this city worth the trip: restaurants, bars and nightlife, coffee shops, hotels and historic inns, attractions, tours and excursions, water sports and beach rentals, fishing charters, spas, and live music venues.

It's built for two kinds of people: visitors planning a trip to the Historic District, River Street or Tybee Island, and locals looking for a new happy hour, an event this weekend, or a fresh spot in their own neighborhood — from Pooler and Richmond Hill to Wilmington and Skidaway Islands. Every page is organized the way you'd actually explore: by category, by neighborhood, and by what's happening right now.

We're a small independent team, and we do the unglamorous work: walking the squares, calling for hours, and hand-checking every listing before it goes live. No fabricated picks, no paid placement dressed up as a recommendation — anything a business pays for is clearly labeled "Featured," and everything else earned its spot.
